Theatre

My first play, ‘Chop, Dissolve, Burn’, written with fellow playwright, Lisette Auton, was produced at the award-winning Alphabetti Theatre in 2023.
I have, recently, taken part in the Live Theatre playwriting course and, from this, have written a second play.
My second play, ‘You Need to Calm Down’, shines a light on the inappropriate and harmful use of solitary confinement and restraint methods in mental health units treating autistic people and people with a learning disability. I am currently seeking a production partner for this play.
Chop, Dissolve, Burn

In 2021 I teamed up with fellow scribbler, the brilliant Lisette Auton, to write my first theatre play, ‘Chop, Dissolve Burn’. Commissioned originally by Newcastle’s Alphabetti Theatre for Newcastle Fringe Festival, ‘Chop’ went on to have a highly successful 3-week run at Alphabetti in 2023.
The play was informed by my access consultancy work, and was fully audio-described through the dialogue and had a BSL interpreter for the whole run.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Stage
“Laugh out loud and razor-sharp”
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Theatre and Tonic
Chop, Dissolve, Burn is perfectly flawed and infectious. It brings crucial topics to the forefront with brutal comedy that will keep you laughing all the way home.
